  • A surprisingly tough record to find with vinyl that plays as quiet as this copy does – you will have a very hard time finding this kind of top quality sound (particularly on side one, two, and three) and quieter vinyl, that’s for sure
  • The overall sound on sides one, two, and three is rich and full-bodied yet still clean, clear and dynamic with plenty of bottom end weight, and side four is not far behind in all those areas

This CTI LP has VERY GOOD SOUND. 

We’re on a winning streak with RVG these days (September 2006), three in a row, in fact: Chet Baker (She Was Too Good To Me), Freddie Hubbard (Red Clay), and now this wonderful Airto record.

The best music is found on side two, especially the last two tracks.

This is a very nice looking ECM Promo 3 LP set with Virtually No Sign of Play (VNSOP). The set comes with a 13-page booklet containing extensive liner notes and photographs.

Keith Jarrett – My Song

  • An outstanding pressing with solid Double Plus (A++) sound or BETTER from start to finish
  • We just finished a shootout for this album, and were pleasantly surprised at how good this relaxed jazz can sound on the right pressing
  • Typical copies are thin, lean, and lifeless, but we managed to unearth some copies (such as this one!) that really get it right
  • 4 1/2 stars: “this album is the best known of the Jarrett-Garbarek collaborations and it actually is their most rewarding meeting on record. Jarrett contributed all six compositions and the results are relaxed and introspective yet full of inner tension.”

  • Exceptionally spacious and three-dimensional, as well as relaxed and full-bodied sound that blew away every other copy we played
  • A wonderful double album of both live and studio-recorded music, featuring numerous jazz greats, including Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette
  • Pitchfork’s Ryan Schreiber believed it was “easily the most accessible of Miles Davis’ late-’70s electric releases,” describing its music as “at once both sexually steamy and unsettling.” He said the live recordings “run the gamut from barroom brawl action-funk to sensual bedroom jazz magic, creating two hours of charged eccentricity you’ll never forget.”
