The MoFi pressing of this album is a complete disaster — it’s fat, muddy and compressed.
It was mastered by Jack Hunt, a man we know to be responsible for some of the thickest, dullest, deadest MoFi recuts from their shameful catalog.
With mastering credits on this album (058), Michael McDonald (149) and Blondie (050), you have to wonder how this guy kept getting work.
Wait a minute. I know exactly how this guy kept getting work, because I owned all three of the MoFi pressings listed above, and they sounded just fine to me.
Yes, I was every big as clueless as any other buyer of this company’s wares. Eventually I saw the light, but eventually was a long time coming.
